ARE YOU A MULTICULTURAL DESIGNER? START HERE
EVENTS
HFR specializes in experiential events that provide a place for designers of color and fashion insiders to share ideas and exchange knowledge. This includes our Fashion Summit, Designer Retreat, Designer Tech Summit and the Fashion Show and Style Awards during New York Fashion Week.
BRAND
PARTNERSHIPS
HFR is dedicated to providing designers opportunities that they otherwise would not have access to. This initiative is for multi-brand retailers who are aimed at carrying more designers of color in-store and online.

JOB POSTINGS
Harlem's Fashion Row works with retailers to invite designers of color to apply for open roles within the industry. Jobs are usually filled with candidates that have relationships with current employees. This perpetuates the lack of diversity in retail and fashion. Posting jobs with HFR assists with expanding your pool of candidates.

HFR-U
HFR-U strives to inspire, nurture, and advance the next generation of diverse fashion talent at Historically Black Colleges and Universities across America by expanding students’ knowledge of the fashion and retail industries.
With a financial and time commitment of three years, brands and HFR will work together to transform an HBCU fashion program into one of the best in the country. As a result of this commitment, aspiring Black fashion talent will no longer have to compromise between program prestige and a cultural experience that feels like home.

DEIR PROGRAM
The Designer Entrepreneur In Residence (DEIR) program creates an opportunity for brands to build relationships with multicultural design talent that could lead to full-time roles within their companies. We believe that a combination of access to design opportunities, a new network, the business of design, and skill development will create the kind of ecosystem that enables HFR designers to thrive.
Through the Residency program, we will create "safe spaces" for the designer and brand through bi-weekly or monthly meetings with both parties individually to receive transparent feedback. The feedback will be communicated in a palatable manner to both parties with potential solutions.
